I was born in Oakland, California and moved to Santa Cruz at the age of 10. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of the Northern California redwoods, mountains and beaches as well as its progressive political and arts culture has greatly impacted and informed my creative and social sensibilities. I knew I wanted to be an actor very early on but my other varied interests drew me to spend my early adult years traveling - I've spent a lot of time in France (Paris and Île de Ré, on the West Atlantic Coast) and at one point I lived on a biodynamic farm in New Zealand. After much gallivanting around, I went to college and earned a B.A. in French Studies and Theater at Mills College in Oakland. Additionally, I studied Film and Dramatic Literature at University of Paris X (Nanterre) and trained at L’École Nationale du Cirque Annie Fratellini in Paris. I currently live in Echo Park.
